WHY CSR MATTERS TO XLC.

Our motto "Equip Every Ride" drives us every day. We aim to equip all riders - whether they're mountain bikers, road racers, commuters or urban leisure riders. We know that maintaining a bike can be expensive, so we've made it our mission to support organisations that provide bikes and bike parts to those in need. Our search led us to two organisations that align perfectly with our mission, helping to Equip Every Ride also for those who need it most.

ORGANISATIONS WE SUPPORT.

SOCIALRIDE

SocialRide is a Munich-based organisation that offers bicycle restoration and maintenance workshops to refugees and socially disadvantaged people. These workshops provide participants with the opportunity to socialise, learn German in a practical setting and gain essential bike maintenance skills. The goal is to empower these individuals by giving them access to mobility in their new lives. XLC is proud to support SocialRide by donating bike parts and accessories.

FARADGANG E.V.

Cologne-based Faradgang e.V. has a similar mission. This volunteer-run organisation restores old bicycles and makes them available to people in need or who are socially disadvantaged. By providing a means of transport, Faradgang e.V. promotes freedom, mobility and self-determination. After a fitting session with the team, the recipients go home with a bike that's ready for safe riding, maybe even equipped with XLC parts or accessories.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT.

We all share a passion for being outdoors on our bikes, no matter the terrain. That’s why protecting an intact environment we ride through on our bikes is a top priority for us. We know that caring for the environment is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time effort. We're committed to taking the right steps to help preserve the environment and to doing our part.

A major concern to XLC in the sense of caring for the environment is the avoidance of unnecessary plastic waste. Over the last few years, we have implemented a policy to eliminate unnecessary packaging. We have started to use recyclable materials. For example, our header cards are now made from 80 % recycled cardboard.

Our commitment to CSR goes beyond external support - it also includes our employees. At XLC we have an employee-centred human resources policy. We work as a team, united by common goals and projects.
