WHY CSR MATTERS TO XLC.
Our motto "Equip Every Ride" drives us every day. We aim to equip all riders - whether they're mountain bikers, road racers, commuters or urban leisure riders. We know that maintaining a bike can be expensive, so we've made it our mission to support organisations that provide bikes and bike parts to those in need. Our search led us to two organisations that align perfectly with our mission, helping to Equip Every Ride also for those who need it most.
ORGANISATIONS WE SUPPORT.
SOCIALRIDE
SocialRide is a Munich-based organisation that offers bicycle restoration and maintenance workshops to refugees and socially disadvantaged people. These workshops provide participants with the opportunity to socialise, learn German in a practical setting and gain essential bike maintenance skills. The goal is to empower these individuals by giving them access to mobility in their new lives. XLC is proud to support SocialRide by donating bike parts and accessories.
FARADGANG E.V.
Cologne-based Faradgang e.V. has a similar mission. This volunteer-run organisation restores old bicycles and makes them available to people in need or who are socially disadvantaged. By providing a means of transport, Faradgang e.V. promotes freedom, mobility and self-determination. After a fitting session with the team, the recipients go home with a bike that's ready for safe riding, maybe even equipped with XLC parts or accessories.
