XLC devised the BS-V12 V-Brake Brake Shoes to give users of heavier bikes including e-bikes some specialist stopping power suited to their needs. The brake shoes are a full 80mm long and the rubber is reinforced with heatproof braking blocks and fibreglass. As a result, the BS-V12 register extremely impressive braking performance, even in linear braking tests.The shoes come in sets of four and are – as you would expect – only compatible with aluminium and steel rims, not carbon fibre.
